Job Summary

This position is responsible for a wide variety of assembly tasks across various products with something different every day. This employment opportunity is for an individual with excellent manual dexterity, the ability to take detailed direction, a willingness to be trained and to practice precise high quality assembly techniques.  Successful applicants will be driven and excel as part of a highly capable, high performance team.   • Wiring harness and direct wiring

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Education: None necessary but technical training or schooling is an advantage

Training Requirements: Not applicable

Knowledge Requirements: Soldering, ability to read blueprints

Experience: PCB repair, Surface mount solder repair is a plus, IPC-A-610 & or SMT soldering training a plus, Manufacturing Schematic and documentation reading.

Hoffman Engineering is looking for an individual who will be able to structure the department to coordinate and streamline both the receiving and shipping processes.  Hoffman requires a person with knowledge of freight classes, export and import regulations and paperwork required, the ability to work within customer portals to ship product, computer literate, attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to multi task.    Successful applicants will be driven and excel as part of a highly capable, high performance team. We value commitment, passion and out of the box creativity. The successful individual will be part of a close-knit group with full exposure and involvement in all aspects of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record all incoming packages
  • Unpack and distribute packages to proper department
  • Delivery and pick up at local suppliers and post office
  • Pack and address all outgoing packages
  • Light Maintenance within the building
  • Maintenance of the company van
  • Member of inventory team
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area
  • Other duties as assigned

General Tasks

  • The ability to take detailed direction
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Education:  5 years or more Logistics/Transportation experience required. 

Training Requirements: 

  • Strong computer skills
  •  Knowledge of UPS and FEDEX software a plus

Knowledge Requirements: 

  • Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving practices.
  • Knowledge of UPS and FEDEX software a plus

Personal Specification/Essential Qualities

  • Lift more than 50lbs and handle large fright shipments
  • Communication skills/; the ability to take detailed direction
  • Familiar with UPS and FEDEX software
  • Familiar with international shipping requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record

  • Excellent organizational skills
