NVIS Multi-Mode Area Light
LED Based Area Light
OVERVIEW
Hoffman’s 723-1304 series, multi-mode area lights, are the first LED based area lights that offer a programmable low-lux, blackout, or egress mode.
These programmable modes allow the user to install the lights in different locations or platforms while maintaining an even illumination throughout crew stations. Modes include a dimmable tactical NVIS white and a fixed tactical NVIS white low-lux mode which is switchable remotely to maintain operational security.
Encased in an aircraft grade aluminum housing and designed to be water-tight as well as to withstand excessive shock and vibration the multi-mode area light is digitally dimmable, reducing the failure occurrences compared to analog dimming. Additionally, this light has been tested to and meets the strict requirements of MIL-STD-810. Light emission has been spectrally corrected to comply with NVIS white specifications dictated by MIL-STD-3009 and US Army NVIS flashlight regulations for enhanced night vision device performance.
